From Fundamental Rights to Fundamental Duties: Christian Response to Crisis in India

In every Military Academy around the world, the one principle of war taught is ‘Offense is the best form of defense'.

I have spent the best years of my life (from 24 years of age when I was Commissioned as a Pilot Officer with the Trophy for the 'Best Officer of the Batch'... to 42 years of age when I sought and received 'Premature Retirement' from the IAF as a Squadron Leader following an encounter with the living Spirit of Christ while admitted in the Air Force Hospital, Bangalore, after a serious air accident).

As an Officer in the Indian Air Force, the last official assignment held by me was 'Course Commander - Pilots Course’ in the prestigious Air Force Academy (AFA) near Hyderabad. I had taught 'Principles of War & Bhagawat Gita’ in which I had promoted the idea that protecting the arial boundaries of India from any enemy attack is the duty of every member of the Indian Air Force, more so of the Officers of the Flying Branch.

Today I am an Indian-Christian 'Sanyasi’ trying to protect and promote the precious spiritual insights and values entrusted to India by Divine Providence for the common good of humanity. As an ardent disciple of Lord Jesus Christ in the Indian Subcontinent, 'Mother India' & 'Sadguru Isa Abhishikta' have been the 'two loves' of my heart.

The mission during this God-given 'second life’ of mine has been an integration of these two loves of my heart into one life-mission for the Kingdom of God in India as outlined in my latest book titled 'The Kingdom of God India' which was recently released in YMCA Regional Center, Aluva, by the Hon'ble Governor of Goa.

In my short talk then, I had pointed out how YMCA as the largest ecumenical body in India can be an effective instrument for the Kingdom of God in this ancient land of religions.

YMCA South West Region with more than 400 YMCAs across Kerala is ideally suited to take up the mission of initiating a paradigm shift for Indian Christians from Fundamental Rights to Fundamental Duties so that they might 'die to sin and live for righteousness' in India (1 Peter 2. 24).

One who protects and promotes righteousness is termed an 'Avatar' in India (Bhagavat Gita 4.8). Seen from this Indian socio-spiritual perspective, every disciple of Christ in India is called to be an 'Avatar'. 'Dharma Rajya Vedi (DRV) founded by me is being transformed into a socio-spiritual communion of such Avatars. We have started an Avatar Traing Academy in our Deiva Kripa Ashram, Thathampally, Alappuzha, under the name 'Deiva Kripa Academy of Enlightened Leadership' (DKAEL).

A five - day Foundational Training Course for such prospective Christian Avatars in India will be held from 8th June 2025 (Pentecost) to 13 June 2025 at Christeen Retreat Center, Kalathipadi, Kottayam, Kerala. We encourage those who wish to deepen their faith in Christ to avail this opportunity may call Mobile – 9847536907
